Consultation paper; Dated: 22.11.2024
SEBI has released a consultation paper seeking public opinion on a proposal to diversify the ownership of Clearing Corporations (CCs) operating in equity markets. This is done to ensure that CCs discharge their vital risk management function independently and in the best public interest and to strengthen the stability of the MII ecosystem. Further, CCs must evolve a fee and operating structure that allows them to operate as self-sufficient entities. Comments may be submitted by 13.12.2024.
