RBI Updates Names of RRBs in Scheduled Banks List

The Reserve Bank of India has updated the names of certain Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) in the list of Scheduled Banks, in line with changes notified by the Government.
1. Revised Names of Banks
The following name changes have been incorporated by the RBI:
- Assam Gramin Vikash Bank has been renamed as Assam Gramin Bank
- Kerala Gramin Bank has been renamed as Kerala Grameena Bank
- Jharkhand Rajya Gramin Bank has been renamed as Chhattisgarh Gramin Bank
- Sarva Haryana Gramin Bank has been renamed as Haryana Gramin Bank
2. Regulatory Impact
These changes are nomenclature updates only and do not affect:
- The status of the banks as Scheduled Banks
- Existing rights, obligations, or regulatory permissions
- Ongoing customer relationships or banking operations
All references to the old names in regulatory documents and communications shall be read as references to the revised names, unless stated otherwise.

The update ensures:
- Consistency with Government notifications
- Accuracy in the RBI’s list of Scheduled Banks
