The Central Government has appointed Dr. Anju Rathi Rana, Law Secretary, as an ex-officio member of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI).

1. Representation of Ministry of Law & Justice

Dr. Rana will serve on the IBBI in her capacity as Law Secretary, representing the Ministry of Law & Justice on the Board. This appointment ensures the Ministry’s active participation in the regulatory framework governing insolvency and bankruptcy matters in India.

2. Role of IBBI

The IBBI plays a pivotal role in regulating the insolvency proceedings of corporates, partnership firms, and individuals, as well as overseeing the functioning of insolvency professionals, agencies, and information utilities.
