SEBI Securities Market Hackathon

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), in collaboration with BSE, CDSL, NSDL, and KFintech, has launched a Securities Market Hackathon as part of the Global Fintech Fest 2025.

1. Objective of the Hackathon

The hackathon is designed to foster innovation and problem-solving in the securities market by inviting India’s brightest minds to develop digital-first, tech-oriented solutions that address real-world challenges in the capital markets ecosystem.

2. Theme of the Hackathon

The central theme of the hackathon is:

“Driving Innovation & Tech-Oriented Solutions in the Securities Market”

This aligns with SEBI’s broader vision of leveraging technology to strengthen market infrastructure, improve investor experience, and enhance regulatory effectiveness.

3. Opportunities for Participants

Participants in the hackathon will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and present innovative solutions to key challenges in the securities market
  • Showcase their work to key stakeholders at the Global Fintech Fest 2025
  • Win attractive cash prizes and gain industry-wide recognition

4. Encouraging Fintech-Driven Market Reforms

This initiative reflects SEBI’s ongoing commitment to encourage fintech-led reforms and collaborative problem-solving within the securities ecosystem by engaging market infrastructure institutions, industry experts, and young innovators.
