The IRDAI, to protect the policyholder’s interest and to facilitate insurers to respond faster to emerging market needs and also to design innovative products has notified the IRDA (Insurance Products) Regulations, 2024. These regulations shall apply to insurers who have been granted a certificate of registration to transact the business of life insurance or general insurance or health insurance. These regulations shall be effective from 01st April, 2024.
