FAQ 1. Whether offline registration is possible for CS Executive Registration?

No, students are expected to fill out and submit their applications through online mode (https://smash.icsi.edu/Scripts/CSEETregistration/Registration_CSEETREG.aspx).

To complete the registration process, students need to upload their documents to their respective accounts. After that, the Institute verifies their documents. Students who apply online are not even required to send hard copies of any documents to the Institute unless they are specifically requested to do so for verification.

FAQ 2. What are the eligibility criteria for CS Executive Registration?

A candidate is believed to have passed the eligibility criteria for CS Executive Registration if:

    • Candidate has passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 system) conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognised by the Central Government or State Government or equivalent thereto for the purposes of admission to Bachelor’s degree course; and
    • Candidate has passed Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) conducted by the Institute. Note: The date of CSEET result should not be older than one year prior to the date of such registration.

FAQ 3. Can a student appearing for graduation final year exam register directly for the Executive Program?

No, provisional admissions are not allowed for the Executive Programme. Only upon completion of graduation with a minimum of 50%, a student can enroll directly for Executive Program.

FAQ 4. What is the cut-off date for registration of the CS Executive Programme?

The last date for acceptance of applications for registration to CS Executive Programme in December Examination for appearing in any one module is 31st July and for appearing both modules is 31st May of the same year.

Similarly, the last date for acceptance of applications for registration to CS Executive Programme in June Examination for appearing in any one module is 31st January of the same year and for appearing both modules is 30th November of the previous year.

FAQ 5. Which subjects are covered under the Executive Programme?

There are eight (8) subjects covered under two modules: –

MODULE 1

1. Jurisprudence, Interpretation and General Laws Subjective 100 Marks Paper
2. Company Law Subjective 100 Marks Paper
3. Setting up of Business Entities and Closure Subjective 100 Marks Paper
4. Tax Laws Objective (OMR Based) 100 Marks Paper with negative marking

MODULE 2

1. Corporate and Management Accounting Objective (OMR Based) 100 Marks Paper with negative marking
2. Securities Laws and Capital Markets Subjective 100 Marks Paper
3. Economic, Business, and Commercial Laws Subjective 100 Marks Paper
4. Financial and Strategic Management Objective (OMR Based) 100 Marks Paper with negative marking

Note: New syllabus will be applicable from December 2023, for which the syllabus and exam pattern are not yet notified by the Institute.

FAQ 6. What is the procedure to obtain the Registration Letter and Identity Card?

The Institute has discontinued the scheme of forwarding Registration Letters and Identity Cards by post (in physical form). Instead, the Registration Letter beside Identity Cards can readily be downloaded from Institute’s website (https://smash.icsi.edu/scripts/login.aspx).

FAQ 7. What is the duration of the registration number’s validity?

The Executive Program and Professional Program registrations are valid for five years.
A student can apply for registration de-novo (i.e. renewal of registration) immediately on expiry of five years from the date of his/her previous registration but in any case within five years from the date of expiry of the registration.
De-novo registration is also valid for five years.

FAQ 8. What is the fee structure applicable to register for CS Executive Program?

The fees structure applicable to register for CS Executive Program (https://www.icsi.edu/media/webmodules/student/FeeDetails_Concession.pdf) is as below:

FAQ 9. What are the pre-conditions and fees for filling CS Executive Exam Form?

Before filling out the CS Executive Exam Form, a student must have completed a One-Day Orientation Programme (ODOP) and cleared the Pre-exam test.
The fee for the exam form is Rs. 1,200 per module.

FAQ 10. What is the Pre-Exam test?

The Pre-Examination Test is applicable for students of the New Syllabus (2017) of the Executive Programme. It is an online computer-based multiple choice questions test with a negative marking of 25% of the allotted marks. However, there are no limits on the number of attempts, but limited to one attempt per day. The result of the test shall be declared immediately on completion of the test and it is mandatory to clear this test to fill up the Executive exam forms.

However, the students undergoing the Class Room Teaching who pass the requisite tests of the coaching are exempted from appearing in Pre-Exam Test.

FAQ 11. Which sources are helpful in preparation for CS Executive Exams?

It requires around 3 months to prepare for each module of CS Executive. Preparation of exams can be done through self-study with help of the free YouTube Channel or the student can enroll for the Class Room Teaching facility provided by ICSI at its center or can opt for paid CS Executive classes online or offline.

Some of the free YouTube channels from where a student can prepare for the Executive exams are Unique Academy, Study At Home, ArivuPro Academy, CS Exam squad, Mohit Agarwal, Inspire Academy, CS cart India, CS Exam squad, KCC Tutorials, JK shah Classes, Lawgical Guruji, etc

A student can also take paid online classes from them for more detailed coverage of the syllabus. The average fee of online classes for the CS Executive program varies from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 35,000 for both modules.
