Earlier, SEBI had constituted a committee in April 2022, under the chairmanship of Shri G. Mahalingam, ex-Whole Time Member, to review the existing governance framework and make recommendations for Market Infrastructure Institutions. Now, SEBI has sought public comments on the Report submitted on 02.11.2022. The report of the Committee sets out various recommendations on measures for role played by the governing board and committees, enhancing accountability and transparency, etc.
