SEBI extends implementation of guidelines on ‘Pledging and Re-pledging of Stocks for Margin Purposes’

Circular no. SEBI/HO/MIRSD/DoP/P/CIR/2022/91, Dated: 30.06.2022
The SEBI had received representation from Depositories for the extension of circular no. SEBI/HO/MIRSD/DoP/P/CIR/2022/44 dated 04.04.2022 w.r.t guidelines for execution of ‘Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction’ for transfer of securities towards deliveries / settlement obligations and pledging / re-pledging of securities. Accordingly, the SEBI has decided to extend the implementation date of the aforesaid circular to 01.09.2022. Earlier, the effective date of enforcement of the circular was 01.07.2022.
