SEBI amends ICDR norms; tweaks eligibility requirements for issuers to make IPOs

SEBI (ICDR) Regulations 2018

NOTIFICATION NO. SEBI/LAD-NRO/GN/2021/52, Dated 27.10.2021

The SEBI (Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2018, has been revised by the SEBI. The change modified the issuer’s eligibility for an IPO. According to amended rule 6(3), an issuer that has issued SR equity to its promoter would be entitled to execute an IPO of ordinary shares as long as the SR shareholder’s net worth, as established by a Registered Valuer, does not exceed Rs. 1000 crore.
