Basic Customs Duty on Refined bleached deodorized (RBD) palm oil

Notification No. 53/2021-Customs Dated December 20th, 2021

The CBIC has reduced Basic Custom Duty (BCD) on Refined bleached deodorized (RBD) palm oil, RBD palmolein, RBD palm stearin and any palm oil other than crude palm oil to 12.5%. Earlier, Notification No. 48/2021-Customs Dated October 13th, 2021 was issued to prescribe BCD on these items at 17.5% which would be effective till March 31st, 2021. Now this notification is amended through Notification No. 53/2021-Customs Dated December 20th, 2021 to substitute rate of 17.5% with 12.5%.
