ITR Filing Due Date AY 2025-26

The ITR filing due date for AY 2025-26 depends on the type of taxpayer. For individuals and non-audit cases, the due date is 15th September 2025. For assessees required to get their accounts audited under the Income-tax Act or any other law, including companies and firms, the due date is 31st October 2025. In cases where a taxpayer is required to furnish a Transfer Pricing (TP) Audit Report in Form 3CEB, the filing due date is extended to 30th November 2025. Filing returns on time is crucial to avoid late fees, interest, and other penalties under the Income-tax Act.

The due dates for filing of ITRs for various types of assessees are as follows:

3. Individual who is a spouse of a person, being a partner in a firm, required to furnish a report of Transfer Pricing (TP) Audit in Form No. 3CEB and the provisions of section 5A apply to such spouse 30-11-2025     
4. Company assessee is not required to furnish the TP Audit report in Form No. 3CEB 30-11-2025     
5. Assessee required to get accounts audited under the Income-tax Act or any other law 30-11-2025     
6. Assessee who is a partner in a firm whose accounts are required to be audited 30-11-2025     
7. Individual who is a spouse of a person, being a partner in a firm whose accounts are required to be audited, and the provisions of section 5A apply to such spouse  30-11-2025     
8. Any other case  15-09-2025[1]
