Notification No. SEBI/LAD-NRO/GN/2024/181; Dated: 17.05.2024

SEBI has notified the SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) (Amendment) Regulations, 2024. An amendment has been made to Regulation 2(1)(e). The definition of ‘generally available information has been broadened. The term ‘generally available information’ means information that is accessible to the public on a non-discriminatory basis and shall not include unverified events or information reported in print or electronic media. The amended norms are effective from 17.05.2024.
