Ministry of Commerce and Industry has notified amendment in Special Economic Zones (Amendments) Rules, 2023. A new rule 21B has been inserted to the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006. As per the new norms, a unit in an International Financial Services Centre (IFSC), authorised to undertake aircraft leasing activity is not required to maintain a separate office.

It may utilise office space or manpower or both, of another unit set up in IFSC authorised to undertake aircraft leasing activity.
