The Income-tax Dept. has conducted a survey on the business premises of group entities of a prominent international Media Company in Delhi and Mumbai.

During the search operations, several pieces of evidence pertaining to the organisation’s operation indicate that tax has not been paid on certain remittances which have not been disclosed as income in India by the foreign entities of the group. Further, the survey has also thrown up several discrepancies and inconsistencies with regard to Transfer Pricing documentation.

The survey operation has resulted in unearthing crucial evidence by way of statements of employees, digital evidence and documents which will be further examined in due course.
