Shri Biranchi Narayan Sahoo has taken charge as an executive director of the SEBI. He will handle the Corporation Finance Investigation Department (CFID). Prior to his promotion as Executive Director, Shri Sahoo was the Chief General Manager in SEBI, handling several assignments since joining in 1996.
Shri Sahoo is a Cost Accountant from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from Utkal University. Further, Shri Sahoo has served in various Departments including the Investigations Department (IVD), Investment Management Department (IMD), Human Resources Department (HRD) etc.
