SGBs 2017–18 (Series V) can be redeemed prematurely at Rs. 5058 per unit: RBI

SGB 2017-18 Series V which was issued on October 30, 2017 and was allowed for premature redemption after fifth year from the date of issue of such Gold Bond. The first due date of premature redemption of the SGB 2017 – 18, Series V shall be October 29, 2022. The RBI has notified that the redemption price of SGB shall be Rs.5058/-per unit of SGB. Further, the price of SGB shall be based on the simple average of the closing gold price of 999 purity of the three business days from the date of redemption as published by the India Bullion and Jewellers Association Ltd (IBJA).
