SEBI unveils framework for conversion of private unlisted InvITs into private listed InvITs

Circular No. SEBI/HO/DDHS/DDHS_Div3/P/CIR/2022/16, Dated: 09.02.2022

SEBI has issued a framework for conversion of Private Unlisted InvIT into Private Listed InvIT. The framework allows Private Unlisted InvITs to list their units and convert them into Private Listed InvITs on making a private placement of units through a fresh issue and/or an offer for sale. Post issuance and listing of such units through private placement, Private Unlisted InvIT shall stand transformed and shall comply with the provisions of the InvIT Regulations prescribed for Private Listed InvITs.
