SEBI Reduces Turnover Requirement for Launching Options on ‘Agricultural and Agri-Processed Commodities’ to Rs 100 Cr

Earlier, SEBI vide master circular dated August 4, 2023, for the ‘Commodity Derivatives Segment’ prescribed Product Design and Risk Management Framework for options on commodity futures. Based on representations received from market participants and deliberations by the Commodity Derivatives Advisory Committee (CDAC) of SEBI, the average daily turnover requirement for launching options on agricultural and agri-processed commodities has been reduced from Rs 200 crore to Rs 100 crore.
