Verification of Past Risk and Return Metrics

Notification F. No. SEBI/LAD-NRO/GN/2025/237, Dated: 20.03.2025

SEBI has notified the SEBI (Intermediaries) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2025. A new chapter on ‘Verification of Past Risk and Return Metrics’ has been inserted. The chapter allows Investment Advisers, Research Analysts, Algo Providers, and other permitted intermediaries to verify past risk-return metrics through Credit Rating Agencies (CRAs). Further, any claim in the form of verified risk or return metrics must be made as specified by the Board.
