SEBI Mandates AMCs of Mutual Funds to Subscribe Units of Corporate Debt Market Development Fund (CDMDF)

Corporate Debt Market Development Fund

Circular No. SEBI/HO/IMD/PoD2/P/CIR/2023/129, Dated: 27.07.2023

SEBI has decided that the units of the Corporate Debt Market Development Fund (CDMDF) shall be subscribed by AMCs of Mutual Funds and “specified debt-oriented MF Schemes”. Accordingly, Debt-oriented MF schemes and AMC’s contributions, along with any appreciation, will be locked-in until the fund winds up.

SEBI has further provided that the First contribution will be due within 10 working days of CDMDF’s request. Half-yearly contributions will begin in Dec 2023, within 10 days after each half-year’s end.
