Circular no. SEBI/HO/IMD/IMD-PoD-1/P/CIR/2025/26; Dated: 27.02.2025

SEBI has introduced a comprehensive regulatory framework for Specialized Investment Funds (SIFs), aimed at bridging the gap between Mutual Funds (MFs) and Portfolio Management Services (PMS). This move is designed to provide investors with greater portfolio flexibility while ensuring a level of investor protection. Under the framework, investors must invest at least Rs 10 lakh across all SIF strategies. The framework shall be effective from April 01, 2025.
