SEBI grants recognition to ‘CDSL Ventures Ltd’ as an accreditation agency for a period of 3 years; Accreditation Agency under SEBI (AlF) Regulations 2012

SEBI has granted recognition to ‘CDSL Ventures Limited (CVL)’ as an Accreditation Agency under SEBI (AIF) Regulations, 2012, for three years w.e.f February 01, 2022. The renewal of the recognition would be subject to satisfactory performance by CVL, said SEBI in a press release.

CDSL Ventures Limited (CVL) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) has been granted recognition as an Accreditation Agency. The procedure for accreditation of an investor and verification of accreditation status of an investor by investment providers (viz Alternative Investment Funds, Portfolio Managers and, Investment Advisers) and other modalities along with relevant circulars shall be displayed on the website of CDSL and CVL.

As per SEBI Circular dated August 26, 2021, rules were introduced on modalities for implementation of the framework for Accredited Investors. By the recognition granted to CDSL Ventures, they will be able to issue accreditation certificates to “accredited investors”.
