SEBI Flags Concerns Over SME Promoters’ Misleading Post-Listing Announcements and Actions

SEBI observed that after listing, some SME companies and/or their promoters have been resorting to practices that project an unrealistic picture of their operations. Such companies/promoters have been seen making public announcements that create a positive, but misleading picture. These announcements are followed by corporate actions such as bonus issues & preferential allotments. In this regard, SEBI, via present advisory, urges investors to be cautious while investing in such securities.
