SEBI Extends Timeline for Investment Advisers to Comply with Enhanced Qualification and Experience Norms by 2 Years

SEBI has extended the timeline for investment advisers to comply with enhanced qualification and experience requirements under regulation 7(1) of SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013 to September 30, 2025. Presently, an individual investment adviser or principal officer of a non-individual investment adviser and persons associated with investment advice are required to comply with enhanced qualification and experience requirements within a period of 3 years, i.e., by Sept. 30, 2023.
