SEBI Eases Specialized Investment Funds Norms; Exempts AMCs’ Mandatory Staff Investments From Rs. 10 Lakhs Threshold

Circular No. SEBI/HO/IMD/IMD-PoD-1/P/CIR/2025/54, Dated 09.04.2025

SEBI had earlier specified the Regulatory Framework for Specialized Investment Funds (SIFs). Now, through its latest circular, SEBI has clarified w.r.t. the applicable regulatory norms. It has excluded the maturity provisions for interval schemes under the Mutual Fund Master Circular from applying to SIFs. Further, the minimum investment threshold of ?10 lakh at the PAN level across all SIF strategies shall not apply to mandatory investments made by AMCs for designated employees.
