PR No.57/2025, Dated: 28.08.2025
1. Introduction
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) Authority are jointly organising the second edition of Niveshak Shivir in Hyderabad. This investor-focused outreach program is designed to address issues faced by shareholders and promote awareness about their rights and responsibilities. The initiative is being conducted with the active support of leading market institutions such as NSE, BSE, NSDL, CDSL, and Registrar & Transfer Agents (RTAs).
2. Purpose of the Camp
The upcoming Niveshak Shivir aims to provide investors with a single-window facilitation platform for resolving various long-pending issues. Key services at the camp will include assistance with the transfer of unpaid dividends, updating of KYC details, nomination changes, and resolution of pending IEPF Authority claims. By bringing together multiple stakeholders under one roof, the event seeks to streamline grievance redressal and make investor services more accessible.
3. Event Details
The Shivir is scheduled to take place on August 30, 2025, at Haryana Bhavan, Secunderabad, and will run from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Investors attending the camp are required to carry a valid government-issued ID proof to complete verification and processing of their requests. The day-long program has been designed to ensure participants can address multiple issues in one visit, thereby saving both time and effort.
4. Significance for Investors
This initiative reflects SEBI and IEPF Authority’s commitment to improving investor protection and financial literacy. By providing hands-on support and creating awareness, Niveshak Shivir empowers retail investors to safeguard their interests and resolve compliance-related challenges with greater ease. The collaboration of exchanges, depositories, and RTAs underscores the importance of collective action in strengthening investor confidence and ensuring smoother market operations.
