Earlier, the RBI had issued the framework for dealing with Domestic Systemically Important Banks (D-SIBs) on 22.07.2014. In terms of the framework, the assessment methodology, for assessing the systemic importance of banks & identification of the D-SIBs, is required to be reviewed on a periodic basis. Now, the RBI has decided to revise the methodology. This sub-indicator now requires data on digital payments in INR, with 75% weightage given to the total value & 25% weightage to the total volume.
