MoF permits 42 reporting entities to perform authentication under Aadhaar Act

Notification No. S.O. 4716 (E), dated: 04.10.2022

The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has permitted 42 reporting entities to perform authentication under the Aadhaar Act, 2016. The permission is granted only for the purposes of aadhar authentication as required u/s 11A of the Money-laundering Act, 2002. Section 11A requires the verification of the identity of reporting entities’ clients and the beneficial owner by way of aadhaar authentication.
