MHA amends the list of punishable offences under FCRA that can be compounded

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) vide Notification No. S.O. 3025(E) dated July 01, 2022 had specified the offences that can be compounded under FCRA along with the penalty and the compounding authority. The MHA has modified Serial no. 4, 6, and 7 of the Table of the said notification. Now, an offence punishable u/s 35 for accepting or utilizing foreign contribution in contravention of section 11 of the Act can be compounded on payment of Rs. 1 Lakh or 30% of foreign contribution received, whichever is higher.
