The Govt. has notified October 26, 2023 as the effective date for enforcement of section 45 of the Competition (Amendment) Act, 2023. Section 45 of the Competition (Amendment) Act deals with provisions relating to process of issuing regulations and guidelines by CCI. The CCI must ensure transparency by publishing draft regulations & publish guidelines on provisions of the Act or rules either on a request made by a person or on its own motion. These provisions are effective from 26.10.2023.
