The members of ICAI are required to adhere to the Council Guidelines for conducting the tax audit under the provisions of the Income-tax Act, 1961 which lays down the limit of 60 tax audit assignments per member in an assessment year. ICAI is seeking opinion on retaining/revising the existing limit of 60 tax audit assignment by June 9, 2024.
