The President has given assent to the Constitution (106th Amendment) Act, 2023. The key amendments include the reservation of 33% seats for women in the House of People & in the Legislative Assemblies of State. Further, the Act provides a framework for the reservation of seats for women in the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
