1. Re-appointment Notification
The Central Government has approved the re-appointment of Justice (Retired) Ashok Bhushan as the Chairperson of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT). He will continue to serve in this role from the date he assumes charge of the post.
2. Tenure and Salary
- Tenure – Until he attains the age of 70 years, i.e., July 4, 2026
- Pay scale – Rs. 2,50,000/- (fixed) per month
3. Background
Justice Ashok Bhushan is a former Judge of the Supreme Court of India and has previously served as the Chairperson of NCLAT. His re-appointment ensures continuity in the functioning of the appellate tribunal, which handles appeals arising from orders of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), IBC matters, and other corporate law disputes.
