Notification No. 31/2022 -Central Excise dated September 30th, 2022

The Government has issued a notification to defer the hike in the excise duty on petrol and high speed diesel intended for retail sale till November 1, 2022 and April 1, 2023 respectively. Earlier, the rate of excise duty on such items was to be increased with effect from October 1, 2022.
