The Central Government has appointed Shri S.V. Murali Dhar Rao, Executive Director, Securities, and Exchange Board of India as part time member of the National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA). Earlier, Shri Amarjeet Singh, Executive Director, Securities, and Exchange Board of India was appointed as part-time member of NFRA. NFRA is an independent regulator to oversee the auditing profession and accounting standards in India under the Companies Act, 2013.
