The Central Government has appointed Shri Kamlesh Chandra Varshney, IRS, Joint Secretary, Department of Revenue, Government of India and Shri Amarjeet Singh, Executive Director, as Whole-Time Members of SEBI, for a period of 3 years from the date of assumption of charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. This appointment is made pursuant to section 4 of the SEBI Act, 1992 read with Rule 3 of the SEBI (Terms and Conditions of Service of Chairman and Members) Rules.
