Government Omits Mandatory Requirement to Use ‘Nidhi Limited’ in Nidhi Company’s Proposed Names

The Central Government has notified an amendment to Rule 8A of Companies (Incorporation) Rules, 2014. As per the amended norms clause (v) of the incorporation rules, which mandates that the proposed name of a Nidhi company should have the last words “Nidhi Limited” as part of its name, has been omitted. Now, the proposed Nidhi Company’s name doesn’t need to mandatorily contain the words ‘Nidhi Limited’ in its name.
