The United States Government has imposed new tariffs on imports from Canada, Mexico, and China, effective from February 1st, 2025. The tariff structure includes:

  • A 25% tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico.
  • A 10% tariff on imports from China.
  • A lower 10% tariff on energy resources from Canada.In response to this, Canada had also imposed counter-tariffs on U.S. imports.
