The SEBI has notified an amendment in clause 9(c) of the seventh schedule of the SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations, 1996. As per the amended norms, Equity-oriented ETFs and index funds can now invest in the listed securities of sponsor group companies beyond 25% of their net assets. Earlier, Mutual funds were restricted from investing in listed securities of sponsor group companies beyond 25% of their net assets.
