Circular no. 1/2022, dated 11-01-2022
On consideration of difficulties reported by the taxpayers and other stakeholders due to COVID and in electronic filing of various reports of audit, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has decided to extend the due dates for filing income tax returns and various audit reports for the Assessment Year 2021-22.
The extended due date for filing various audit reports for the Previous Year 2020-21 is 15-02-2022, and the extended due date for filing of ITRs is 15-03-2022.
