CBIC; Coumarin in imported Cinnamon; DGFT

Instruction No. 28/2021- Customs Dated December 9th, 2021

The CBIC has issued instruction regarding testing of Coumarin in imported Cinnamon. The CBIC has requested all Principal Chief Commissioners/Chief Commissioners /Principal Commissioners/Commissioners etc. to sensitize officers under their jurisdiction to ensure that all imported consignments of Cinnamon shall be tested for Coumarin content which should not be more than 0.3% by weight.
