CBDT Notifies 30-04-2025 as the Last Date to File Declaration Under Vivad Se Vishwas Scheme

The Direct Tax Vivad se Vishwas Scheme, 2024, was introduced in the Finance (No. 2) Act, 2024. The Scheme was introduced to reduce pending income tax litigation and provides for a dispute settlement mechanism pursuant to which eligible taxpayers can settle their pending tax disputes by paying a specified portion of the tax arrears.
The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has now notified 30-04-2025 as the last date for filing a declaration under the Vivad Se Vishwas Scheme. The date has been notified in the exercise of the powers conferred by clause (l) of sub-section (1) of section 89 of the Finance (No. 2) Act, 2024.
