CBDT Notifies 16 CIT(A) Units in Guwahati, Kochi, Bhubaneshwar and Nagpur

Commissioners of Income-tax (Appeals)

Notification No. 20/2024, dated 06-02-2024

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) vide Notification No. 106/2022, dated 02-09-2022 , notified the hierarchy of the Principal Chief Commissioners of Income-tax, Chief Commissioners of Income-tax, and Commissioners of Income-tax (Appeals).

The CIT(A) Units across the country shall be subordinate to the jurisdictional Chief Commissioner of Income-tax. Further, the Chief Commissioners of Income-tax shall be subordinate to the jurisdictional Principal Chief Commissioner of Income-tax.

With a partial modification of the aforementioned notification, the board has designated 16 new Commissioners of Income-tax (Appeals) in Guwahati, Kochi, Bhubaneshwar, and Nagpur.
